Hmmmmm

A friend last night said that he needs to be “That Guy.” It’s funny because I was accused of trying to do that once. At the time I really didn’t know what she meant, but I do now. She thought I was trying to take advantage of her during a supposed time of vulnerability. Of course I wasn’t, but I guess things like the truth don’t matter during those times. But it does occur to me that “That Guy” would try to take advantage. As a result of this type of thinking, he will have several dozen girlfriends over his lifetime, eventually finding one that he’ll marry and have a family with. Whereas I being the nice guy will have very few girlfriends by comparison and due to the odds and percentages I will probably be lucky to find someone to have a long term relationship with, let alone marriage. It doesn’t sound fair, but what in life is ever fair. Food for thought.
